About Blerd Corner

A creative studio and publishing imprint built on narrative craft.

Mission Statement

Blerd Corner's mission is to create and publish story-driven work with professional craft and cultural honesty—built to last.

The Studio

Blerd Corner was founded by a filmmaker and novelist who believed that individuals and small businesses deserve the same caliber of visual storytelling that major brands take for granted.

We're a minority-owned creative studio that produces photography, videography, multimedia content, and published literary works. Everything we make — whether it's a brand film, a documentary, or a novel — starts with the same foundation: story.

We don't come from the agency world. We come from film, from publishing, from the discipline of building narratives that hold together from beginning to end. That background shapes every project we take on. We think in scenes, not slides. In voice, not taglines. In story, not campaigns.

Coleman Harper

Founder of OmniSpectrum Media Group LLC and Chief Architect of Blerd Corner LLC. He built Blerd Corner around a single conviction: that the myths, legends, and buried histories of the African diaspora deserve to be told through cinema, photography, and multimedia production—not as content, but as craft.

Coleman's path runs through Big 4 consulting and computer information systems before arriving where it was always headed — behind the camera and at the keyboard. He directs projects from concept through post-production, handling videography, photography, editing, and design himself.

Through Blerd Corner, Coleman develops original intellectual property — interconnected stories rooted in supernatural horror, American historical trauma, and the spiritual traditions of the African diaspora. Igbo, Yoruba, Vodou, and Hoodoo cosmologies aren't set dressing in this work. They're the foundation.

Rooted in Arkansas and driven by the belief that stories are bridges across generations and cultures, Coleman produces media that holds up — work meant to educate, to stay with you, and to last.

What We Believe

We believe creative work should be built with intention, produced with craft, and owned by the people who made it.

We believe story should never be treated like decoration — it should be the foundation of the work.

We believe individuals and small businesses deserve access to professional multimedia production — not watered-down versions of what bigger companies get.

We believe the best content comes from understanding someone's story before trying to tell it.

Why This Studio Exists

Blerd Corner was built to fill the gap between people who need real professional creative work—and an industry that only seems to take you seriously when you're spending six figures.

For too long, quality multimedia production has been treated like a luxury. If you're building a brand, running a small business, or leading a community organization telling stories that matter, you've probably been pushed toward templates, stock visuals, and content that could belong to anyone.

Blerd Corner exists because that's not good enough. The myths, histories, and cultural narratives of communities that have been overlooked—especially those rooted in the African diaspora—deserve the same craft, precision, and care that major studios give blockbuster IP.

This isn't "diversity" as a branding exercise. It's about doing the work right: honoring cultural specificity, protecting the integrity of the story, and making professional-grade storytelling accessible without compromise.

We operate as both a creative studio and a publishing imprint because storytelling doesn't live in one medium. A brand film and a novel run on the same fundamentals—character, conflict, pacing, and voice. Working across screen and page gives our work depth that doesn't come from production alone.

Whether it's a headshot session, a documentary, or a full campaign, we bring the same rigor we bring to our own intellectual property. No cookie-cutter. No shortcuts. We build work that's meant to last.

If you've been looking for a creative partner who understands representation with responsibility, the weight of culture, and the discipline it takes to tell a story right—you're in the right place.

We Tell Stories on Screen and on the Page

Blerd Corner isn't just a creative studio — it's also an independent publishing imprint. We produce and publish original literary works, including supernatural horror, historical fiction, and genre storytelling rooted in African diasporic traditions.

Our debut novel, The Whistling Came First, is set in 1926 Arkansas and explores Hoodoo, historical trauma, and the buried supernatural history of the American South. It's the first entry in the Otherlight Universe — a shared world of interconnected stories that we'll continue developing across novels, short fiction, and potentially film.

This dual identity — studio and publisher — isn't a gimmick. It's how we operate. The same narrative discipline that structures a chapter structures a video edit. The same attention to voice that shapes dialogue shapes a brand script. We think in story, always.

Who We Serve

We work with individuals building personal brands, small businesses ready to invest in how they show up, and communities whose stories deserve professional production. If you've been settling for content that could belong to anyone, we built this studio to change that.
